Created Issue: Failed Parsing File [32688]

On certain files, the error "Failed Parsing File ..." occurs during check-in.
We detected that this appears when a character is duplicated in a file:
e.g.
twice :: -> using global::SpaceClaim.Api.V9;
twice "" -> string text = String.Format("Size: ""{0}mm""", this.Width);

Could you please check your parser and fix it?

Hello,

i´m searching a solution to exclude the policy for generated code.

I´m only find the solution to exclude special namespace but we have so many different namespaces that we have to change it very often.

Two possible solutions:

- I have check the code and found the method "IsVerifyableFileType" at the moment only fix files are exclude. Is it possible to change it to a configurable files like every file with *.Generated.*?
- A other solution is to check the setting in the project file "Code Analysis" \ "Suppress result from generated code" and if it´s activate Generated files are not checked.

I can´t believe that no one has that problem.

Such a solution is already being considered, or could imagine such a thing?

Hi,

I'm using VB.Net 2010 and CCCP fails to parse files upon evaluating at check-in time with alarming regularity. This is rather annoying, but in the error it never tells me what part of the offending file caused the problem.

Is there any way that these "Failed Parsing File" errors can be fixed, or at least the causes of them be made more transparent?

Does anybody know if it is possible to use Exclude Namespaces tab with regular expressions?

We are developing small test applications in addition to the final product for testing purposes and we don't want to add these projects (exclussions) manually.

We are using the follwing naming criteria

MyCompany.Tester.

Hello,

sorry to revive a thread so old, but that I want to ask is related to this issue.

The plugin system is very good, and I developed some plug-in, such as one that, if a method returns a value then it should be documented with the returns tag.

However, I want to develop a plugin to check if exceptions are thrown from the method body. (As CISCBrain said before, looking for something like "throw new Exception(...)")

The main problem is that I don't know how to access to the source code of the method from the plugin I'm developing ...

Any help / guidance would be welcome.
