New Post: Beta Not Working with German VS 2008 SP1

I'd really like to integrate the CCCP but it seems like it does not work with my Visual Studio.

After the executing the Setup on the Client I can see the policy in the TeamExplorer. I activate it.

But If I add a public Method without comments to a class I don't get any warnings.

Do I have to do something on the Server ? Unfortunately the Install Video doesn't work here :-(

Hello

We usually work with VS 2008 and the CCCP 3.0 works fine.
But for some projects( Biztalk 2006 R2 prjetcs), we need VS 2005 and thus we encounter with the following problem : unable to load the policy CCC /// policy 3.0.

Can we install both CCCP 2.1 for VS2005 and CCCP 3.0 for 3.0 ?

Hi,

Have installed the MSI used for Visual Studio 2008.
When I try to use the program an error occurs in some of the files.

In the file CheckCodeComments the error occurs when this is called:
parser.CompilationUnit.AcceptVisitor(visitor, null);

The message is: Error instancing the class ICSharpCode.SharpDevelop.Dom.LoggingService
I think something is missing in the MSI

I send this into the test-program:
/// <summary>
/// Test
/// </summary>
/// <param name="sender"></param>
/// <param name="e"></param>
public delegate void MyDelegate(object sender, MyEventArgs e);

Does anybody else have this problem ?

I have a simple question about CCCP . when I enable "Public" --> "Class" option of CCCP.

Hi, the tool is great, but I have a suggestion to take it to the next level :)

It could be great to force the developer to add the comments in a specific format before allow him to check in, for example:

This whould be correct:

/// <summary></summary>
/// <author></author>
/// <date></date>
public class Customer

This whould be INcorrect:

/// I don't respect the comments rules! :P
public class Customer

I'm also looking for a documentation. I want to create a plugin which checks the parameters of a method for emptiness.
So I put a test-class in a dll, which I strongly signed and put that dll into GAC:

When I now select my Assembly in the AssemblyList and press "ok" the Plugin is not listet in the Plugins-Listbox.
When I choose another DLL a messagebox states, that there is no valid Plugin in it.

Is the plugin-feature buggy or not fully implemented, or am I doing somethign wrong??

Hi,

when having fields check enabled and no comment provided on a field, I get a warning like this:

No code comment for myfield in class myclass at line 0 also the affected code e.g. resides in line 20.

Hi,

if CCCP has not been satisfied by my code on check-in, it would be nice if I could double click the Policy Warnings and jump directly into the affected line(s) of code.

Is it possible to implement this?
